It got changes, above all Protection, which became much more fun and holds several mobs. Even so rage is still short, it depends a lot on gear and nothing makes it stand out early on. Its time comes in max-level dungeons and raids.

Strengths

Very tough, especially in Protection
Strong cooldowns (Sweeping Strikes, Retaliation) and good short-group damage
A lot of depth for those who know how to play it

Weaknesses

Short on rage, even with the beta increase
Very gear dependent
Little healing and long downtime until level 20
