Market flipping in Albion Online: the basics
Buy cheap in one city and sell higher in another: how it works and how not to lose silver.
Updated October 2026
The idea
A flip is buying an item at a low price and selling it for more, in the same city or another. The profit is the price difference after subtracting the costs of selling. Since Albion's market is player-driven, prices vary between cities and through the day.
What selling costs
Selling on the market has costs: a sales tax and a fee to create the order. The amounts depend on things like having Premium, and can change with patches. Always check the current values in game and account for them before deciding if a flip is worth it.
Buy and sell orders
You can buy right away at the seller's price, or place a buy order and wait for someone to sell to you cheaper. The second option gives more margin but takes time and depends on activity. High-demand items sell fast; rare items can sit unsold.
Start small
Before investing a lot of silver, test with a few units of items that sell often. See how long they take to sell and how much is left at the end. Only then increase the volume.
