Ruins of Gilneas

The ruined kingdom of Gilneas, with Gilneas City and its surroundings. It is also the setting of the Battle for Gilneas battleground.

How it works

  • A zone on the Eastern Kingdoms found in the beta client data, with nine named areas: Gilneas City, Northern Headlands, Dreadwatch Outpost, Rutsak's Guard, Emberstone Village, Emberstone Mine, Tempest's Reach, The Blackwald and Hayward Fishery.
  • It is also the setting of the Battle for Gilneas battleground, which has its own areas: the Lighthouse, Waterworks, Mines, Horde Landing, Gilnean Stronghold, The Overlook and Gilnean Coast.
  • Blizzard has not announced Gilneas as a leveling zone. For now it is only in the client data.
